The Control Panel is Sitellite's more advanced editing mode. It presents you with all of the ContentCollections in your site, plus the administrative options for managing users, roles, teams, and settings, and a list of additional applications installed on your web site (called "Tools"). The Control Panel also features an internal messaging interface, like a private email system, that can actually integrate with external email addresses to send and receive messages.

Note that all of the above-mentioned options are restricted by Sitellite's AccessControl capabilities, so no user can edit content or access settings they shouldn't be able to.

For content editing, the main advantage of the Control Panel is the ability to perform complex search queries to find the right documents fast. This is done through Sitellite's CollectionFacets feature.
